F7 Double Unit ‘Diesel Style’

Our Model’s History

The Auburn Valley Railroad added another “diesel-style” locomotive to its collection with the addition of GP7 #7000. Built around 2010 by Mountain Car Company, now Titan Trains, the Pennsylvania GP7 brings the appearance of a classic diesel locomotive to the railroad. Like the railroad’s F-7 units, the GP7 is gasoline-powered and offers a convenient alternative to the steam locomotives, allowing operators to get underway without the lengthy firing-up and cool-down process required for steam engines.
