Members receive 20% discount on pre registration ONLY/Full price at entrance
FAH Members: This is a special fundraising event; therefore, any non-pre-registered members will not be eligible to receive the 20% discount at the door

Step back in time and experience the magic of the holiday season at Auburn Heights! During Holiday Trains at Auburn Heights, the Marshall Steam Museum and the historic Auburn Heights estate come alive with twinkling lights, festive decorations, trains, music, and holiday traditions.
Bring your family and friends for an afternoon or evening filled with holiday fun:
- Explore holiday model trains — Wander through the museum and enjoy operating model train layouts decorated for the season, featuring Gauge 1,N, HO, O, and Standard gauges. Watch trains wind through festive miniature landscapes and discover the incredible detail of these historic layouts.
- Ride the Auburn Valley Railroad — Climb aboard the 1/8-scale Auburn Valley Railroad for a festive ride around the grounds of the majestic Victorian estate, surrounded by holiday decorations and the sights of Auburn Heights.
- Visit Santa — Make a holiday memory with a free photo opportunity with Santa, who will be waiting in one of the museum’s antique automobiles. It’s the perfect setting for a one-of-a-kind holiday family photo!
- Tour the 1897 Auburn Heights mansion — Step inside the beautifully decorated first floor of the historic Marshall family home. Explore rooms furnished with antiques and experience the warmth and elegance of a Victorian Christmas.
- Enjoy live holiday music — Get into the Christmas spirit with live performances by the Olde Town Carolers and the University of Delaware’s Vocal Point, filling Auburn Heights with the sounds of the season.
- Warm up with holiday treats — Enjoy hot chocolate and delicious food from a local food truck. Adults can also relax with wine and beer from Dew Point Brewing.
- Shop the Yuletide Market — Browse unique, handmade gifts and seasonal treasures from local vendors connected with the Center for the Creative Arts. It’s a great opportunity to support local artists and find something special for everyone on your holiday shopping list.
